The first production for this module was to take a flat image and develop the concept into a 3D design. I chose to create small cobwebs in 3D printers, which later inspired a Halloween- inspired design project.

More cobwebs were created with different materials that were laser-cut into a pattern, using a digital stencil of a full spider web. The first was made of paper and others were made of a special acrylic that would potentially shine a cobweb shadow over natural lighting.

Once the acrylic spider webs were created, the idea came about to remodel the to become potential fruit bowl. They were both pressed on a semi-circular surface through a pressure chamber to reshape the webs into a bowl-shape. This was an inspired idea to adapt morphogenic ideas with a flat concept.
